We serve more than 2,000 active and retired Berkshire County Retirement System members.

 

Commonwealth of Massachusetts public employees are not covered under Social Security. Instead they are covered by a Contributory Retirement System, which we administer on their behalf, or an OBRA plan.

Our office is open by appointment only for required in-person transactions.  Sign-in and face masks  are required.  We appreciate your patience as we navigate this new way of conducting business.

The waiver on earnings and hours restrictions for post-retirement public employment has been extended.  The waiver is in place for the duration of the Governor's State of Emergency, or the end of calendar year 2021, 

whichever comes first.
