Welcome to the Berkshire County Retirement System. We have been proudly serving the retirement needs of Berkshire County's hard working municipal employees since 1937.
We serve more than 2,500 active and retired Berkshire County Retirement System members.
Commonwealth of Massachusetts public employees are not covered under Social Security. Instead they are covered by a Contributory Retirement System, which we administer on their behalf, or an OBRA plan.
